Beach Clean for Community Week

Calling all cubs, scouts and any beavers. Bob a Job is back and now called Community Week. Scouts all over the world are doing something for their communities this week. 2nd Herne Bay Scout Group will be on the beach, picking up the weeds between Neptune's Arm and the Pier from 1pm to 4pm this Saturday, 19th May. Please come along with gardening gloves or we'll provide some if not. This is a good opportunity to advertise scouting in the town. Uniform tops and neckers please.

May 25th Sponsored Hike

Our Cubs' Spnsored Hike this year will depart from Reculver Towers car park at 6pm sharp, (latecomers pick us up at Bishopstone Lane car park 6.20pm) We will be at the clock tower on Herne Bay sea front for pick up by 7.25pm. Parents are welcome to join us, but remember to sort a lift to get back to your car! Akela

BEAVER LEADER WANTED

Our Beaver section has grown and is now a thriving colony.
But the colony urgently needs a new Leader to take-over from Skipper Bob who has been running things in addition to his role as Group Scout Leader.

Beaver Scouts are the youngest section of the Scouting family. Their activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends.

It is extremely rewarding to lead a section, with support and training available from other leaders in the group, from other groups in the district and from the county training team.
